Antigua Consultants Overseas Office Management

Westminster Dredging (Overseas) Ltd., required a complete suite of offices in downtown St. John's near the waterfront. I was tasked with furnishing the office and setting up the telephone, fax, and internet services which I accomplished in just four days. This was considered unprecedented in Antigua. Being a large Company, they had their own Legal Council and brought their own Accounts Manager with whom I interfaced. I supplied secretarial services and managed the day to day running of the office which had five seperate departments. Services included: receptionist, telephone, fax, e-mails, letter writing and filing according to this company's unique practices. In addition, I arranged for medical examinations for the workers and oversaw swim tests, which were requirements of this company.

I liased with the Antigua Labour Department and arranged Work Permits & Immigration for the Dutch personnel and foreign workers. Travel bookings for personnel leave time were part of the services which I supplied as well as taking care of accounts whilst the regular Accounts Manager was on leave. I liased with the housing landlord regarding lease extensions and maintenance problems that arose in regards to the overseas worker's housing.

I managed purchases and sourced supplies from local suppliers. Car rentals and Hotel accommodations were also part of the services which I arranged for this company.

Project ran from June 2001 to March 2002.

Pres-T-Con Ltd., a small Trinidadian company which has just expanded beyond it's borders to do business in the Caribbean region. They have been tasked with building the piers to accommodate the new mega Cruise Liners in St. John's harbour.

This project was successfully completed in 2003.
